Across the planet, new technologies and business models are decentralising power and placing it in the hands of communities and individuals. Out of the Box Energy Solutions offers these business models and technologies for Southern Africans. In everything we do, we strive to find the Out of the Box Solution, that makes decentralised renewable energy simpler, more reliable and more accessible.

He believes that decentralised renewable energy development is key in the upliftment of Africa and a must in the race against global warming.
Bruce Reid, Managing Director of Panel Technique (Pty) Ltd since 1991, started RESECO Energy Solutions (Pty) Ltd in 2014, with fellow Panel Technique directors and shareholders.
2014 was at the height of ESCOM’s load shedding implementation and we identified the need, particularly in the residential and small business consumer market, for a technically reliable, safe, user-friendly standby generator with low carbon and noise emissions.
Partnering up with Johannesburg-based company Sub-Sahara Power Distributors (SSPD) with their range of SDMO/Kohler Gas generators, as their KwaZulu-Natal distributors, we were able to achieve this.
Moving into the future, I believe that the power crisis in South Africa has made South Africans very aware as to how vulnerable we are, not only on how reliant we are on electricity but also to the alternatives.
Sun, wind and water motion are naturally occurring elements which can provide energy without destroying the earth and this is where we believe that we can make a difference by replacing standby energy with an environmentally friendly permanent source of energy.
